One of My Favorite Pieces to Make
Sometimes we need a change of perspective, since it is easy to get stuck in our current surroundings or our comfort zones and find ourselves struggling. One of my favorite ways to change my perspective is to step outside, take a walk, and get out into nature. I breathe deeply and fully experience the sights and sounds around me. These walks often inspire pieces like my best-selling pine tree cutout necklaces.
The pine tree theme is a favorite of mine, as I'm sure you can tell by my business name, In the Pines Jewelry! I truly feel that when we spend time in nature, we are drawn closer to the divine and can connect deeply with the earth around us, and I want my pieces to communicate this as well.
My business was born out of a desire to create unique pieces of jewelry from natural materials that are inspired by nature. I want them to bring joy to the wearer and connect them more deeply to the beauty of nature that surrounds us. The pine tree cutout necklaces are some of my favorite designs because I feel they encompass all the elements of my mission.
Each pine tree cutout necklace is truly unique. There are no two that are the same, mainly because they are handmade and the stones chosen for each piece are distinctive.
Cutting the pine tree design from the back of the necklace showcases an angle that is not often seen, and provides a versatile piece for the wearer, since there is a hidden totem only she knows of unless she chooses to reveal it. It serves as a reminder of the strength and resilience of the wearer, much like the strength and resilience of the tall pine trees that dance in the wind without breaking, grow tall in difficult soils, and remain evergreen. It also serves as a reminder of the strength we can find in nature if we take the time to look for it.
